”Active Youth for Refugees” is the second meeting in the Active Youth series. It took place on January 20, 2021. This time online.
The subject of the meeting concerned social inclusion in the context of immigrants and refugees. Our foundation once again acted as the moderator of the meeting.
The meeting was held in the form of a discussion related to the presence of immigrants in the local community. During the talks, the youth raised the issues of interest in the immediate environment in the problem of refugees, and counteracting the dissemination of negative stereotypes about them. They strongly emphasized that action for the benefit of immigrants or refugees should take place after establishing the methods of action together with the interested parties themselves. Environmental interviews are essential for the initiatives to be implemented effectively.
The participants of the meeting agreed that it is worth inviting refugees and immigrants, people working in non-governmental organizations or informal initiatives, to the dialogue.
Once again, young people rose to the occasion by creating interesting ideas, creative ideas for initiatives, collecting conclusions and reflections. We, as a foundation, want and will make every effort to ensure that their involvement turns into interesting activities for the benefit of the local community.
